Y2Knit is committed to buying regionally and to supporting
small businesses whenever possible. For that reason, we sell several yarns
from the Mid-Atlantic region where the Y2Knit shop is located and many other
products produced in the U.S. We also seek products that are produced in an
eco-friendly manner and that are brought to market through fair trading
practices.
For example, we carry yarn from Uruguay that is hand spun and dyed in a
woman's cooperative. The needle cases we offer are made in the USA, employing
disabled persons in their manufacturing and with a percent of the profits
going to breast cancer research. We like fibers using renewable resources, like bamboo and soy. We are proud to be able to
offer products like these to you and hope that you will consider the source
of products wherever you are making purchases.
