We're excited about our Y2Knit Knitting Getaway Events in 2004. Brochures
were mailed last week, so let us know if you didn't receive one or if you
want us to send one to a friend. All the information is also available on
our website. We expect our spaces to fill up quickly, so don't wait too long
to sign up. We already have some spaces reserved for the fabulous Knitting
Getaway Experience at Heart of the Village Inn in Shelburne, VT.
2004 Knitting Getaway Weekends
If you haven't been to a Knitting Getaway Weekend yet, mark your
calendar now for an upcoming 2004 Weekend.
For 2004, Y2Knit Knitting Getaway Weekends focus on Slip Stitches and
Color. Weekend workshops start with selecting and mixing colors, then
move into 2- and multiple color pattern slip stitches and mosaic knitting,
as well as shaping while working slip stitch patterns.
 | For those wishing to learn/refresh their skills with basic slip
stitches and circular knitting, including working patterns in the
round, Y2Knit recommends Friday workshops (10am-2:30pm). |
| If ergonomic and efficient Continental knitting interests you,
start with the knit stitch from 3:00-4:00 on Friday, and learn the purl
stitch on Saturday afternoon. |
| To learn/renew knitting skills, sign up for the YNotKnit
workshop and learn to knit, purl, cast on and bind off and receive
assistance getting started on projects. |
April 2-4, near Washington,
DC/Baltimore at Rising Phoenix (*note that this is the only Weekend near DC
this year. See Vermont location for Fall Event.)
May 21-23, near NYC/Philadelphia at
Kirkridge.
October 1-3, near San
Francisco/Sacramento at Four Springs.
Pricing for 2004 is all-inclusive (lodging, meals, workshops and workbook
and yarn for sampler). Enjoy the availability of workshop leaders for
knitting assistance and project planning throughout Events. After two days,
it's hard to have the Weekend end, but you will leave refreshed and full of
knitting inspiration!

Weekend so wonderful...more knitting, more relaxing, more workshops and
learning, more time for activites and leisure...the Y2Knit Knitting
Getaway Experience is an event you won't want to miss!
We're pleased to offer the Knitting Getaway Experience at two
fabulous locations--one on each coast:

The theme for the 2004 Experiences is Embellishments and we
have fabulous workshops planned. Participants can create a project or a
sampler booklet using techniques learned:

We hear wonderful stories of knitters teaching coworkers,
daughters/granddaughters/nieces (and the boys too!), and friends to
knit. By popular request, the two wonderful Y2Knit teachers (Jill and
Susan Wolcott) are offering a course to train knitting teachers.
Pass Knit On will be offered in two locations, Funkstown, MD (near
Washington/Baltimore) and San Francisco, CA during July 2004. The cost
for the one- day course is $165 and includes the following interactive
learning opportunities:
Attendees will receive a copy of the YNotKnit instructional workbook.
Lunch and snacks are included. Let us know if you are interested so we

through other knitting resources. Prior to 2004 our unique line of
patterns has only been available at Y2Knit Events, at y2knit.net or at
our yarn shop.
