May Madness

is a month sandwiched between events.
The last weekend in April we were at Kirkridge
Retreat Center, one of our favorite venues for a
Knitting Getaway Weekend. We enjoyed delicious
meals prepared by Teri Simonds, offered stimulating
knitting workshops, and had the pleasure of being
with 18 knitters, including Paige and Kristen from
Modern Yarn (did I mention laugh a lot?).
You can't help but laugh around Paige and Kristen,
who are so funny. They brought fabulous yarn from
their yarn shop in Montclair, NJ as well as the
great T-shirts they sell (pictured above is Susan's
current favorite).
We're winding up the Lacy Cabled Scoop Y2KnitaLong
and the Y2Knit2Gether Namaste Tank Workshop is
underway (we're smelling so good!).
In a couple of weeks, Jill and Susan are off to TNNA
for our trade show. Not only do we purchase yarn
(we can hardly wait!!), but we have a booth and sell
our patterns and books to yarn shops. We hardly
sleep between selling, buying, teaching and
networking.
After TNNA, we're back in the offices to fill orders
and work on upcoming projects (see below). Sonja
Holmgren, a student at the University of Akron in
Akron, OH will be interning with Y2Knit for nine
weeks this summer. This is a wonderful opportunity
for all of us.

Big Plans Ahead!

We always have to be working on future events,
patterns, and shop happenings. We're pleased to
have a very exciting year planned. Never lacking
for great ideas, we're busy manifesting our
dreams, which we are pleased to share. Here's the
big stuff that's ahead:
