Designed for the knitter wanting to explore creative expression through knitting: start with online workshops and pre-travel knitting, creating the Italian Tee designed by Jill. In Tuscany, we’ll use the inspiration of the region to create the art-to-wear Tuscan Canottiera (vest).

What to expect:

Online workshop beginning in May 2008, which will also provide an opportunity to get to know participants before traveling. We’ll include travel, cultural and food tips and tidbits, reading and travel suggestions.

In Italy, fabulous daily workshops in the Y2Knit tradition: learning in a fun, informal atmosphere from teachers who know their stuff.

Work on the event project throughout the day with access to Jill and Susan for assistance, inspiration and support.

Wonderful meals, local flavor, lots of knitting and experiences you’ll always remember.

Participate in local activities and entertainment.

Most importantly, plan to relax and regenerate. We’ve selected the Villa Maddalena for it’s relaxing indoor and outdoor spaces. This is a chance to slow down!
