Directions to Y2Knit, Funkstown from the Washington, DC area:
Take 270 North to Frederick, then go onto 70 West towards
Hagerstown. You’ll climb two mountains: Braddock Mountain and South Mountain,
where you enter Washington County. Continue to Exit 32B, which takes
you onto 40 West. Make the first left turn onto Hebb Road.
Continue through the light at Edgemoor and you’ll find Y2Knit on the right at
the first intersection, the corner of High and Baltimore. Turn right onto
High - parking is in the rear. Allow 1-1.5 hours.
Alternatively, from Northern Virginia (particularly points west of Fairfax), you can take the Dulles Toll Road to the Greenway, which takes you from the Dulles Toll Road to Leesburg (this is also a toll way). From there, many alternate routes are available – consult your maps - but the most direct is to take 15 North towards Frederick. Close to Frederick, 15 connects with 340 and you will then see signs for 70 West towards Hagerstown. Follow directions above.
