Happy Holidays and Peaceful Knitting!

How's the holiday knitting going? Are you madly knitting gifts? Will you have to give incomplete gifts with promises to finish them soon? Here's a holiday story from Susan:

A couple of years ago I undertook knitting socks for sister Sally, her husband and twin boys. I got all the socks done except Curt's, which I worked on during the flight to Chicago and every possible moment, including in front of him (he was clueless, of course). When we did the gift exchange, I was still working on them. I received something in a small box with a holiday colored lid. I slipped the socks into the box and gave them to Curt, needles and all! I do believe he was surprised, if not by the gift, then by my audacity!

We're busy putting the final touches on the first 2007 Y2Knit2Gether, Y2Knit's online workshop where you can communicate with other participants and the instructors while learning how to Knit4Fit.

The project for early 2007, which will start in March, is a basic cardigan. Jill has worked out the pattern in gauges 4 sts/in through 5.5 sts/in. We'll announce this opportunity as soon as we have final dates and registration set up online. We'll have a yarn bargain too!

The Y2Knit2Gether includes full instructions and pattern for the project as well as access to the “brains” behind the project! All of this takes place on the Y2Knit2Gether online forum, which is easy to access and use.
