Knitting Love |
February is the month of LOVE, colored with
pinks and reds . . . and white if you live in areas where
winter has dumped snow.
Knitting provides an opportunity for us to
share our love with family and friends, strangers, and
perhaps most importantly, with ourselves. Have you noticed
how others love to wear what you knit them (especially
children, who are more open to the sensation of your
lovingly knit objects)?
Share your love--knit lots!

Getaway Weekend |
In conjunction with our friends at
Modern Yarn in Montclair, NJ, Y2Knit is hosting a
Knitting Getaway Weekend, April 27-29, 2007.
We're back at
Kirkridge Retreat Center, a site we have come to love
for the serenity, closeness to nature, and beautiful views
from the modern lodge.
This event will be in the tradition of
Y2Knit Knitting Getaways--expect to relax, renew, learn and
connect with other knitters. We've got great
workshops planned.
Cost for the Getaway is $600, starting
Friday and ending Sunday. Registration is available
online or by phone (301.766.4543)

Four Directions |
 |
This collar,
Four Directions, is
created to honor the four directions, as is done in native
cultures of the Americas. The mitered shapes make wonderful
use of self-patterning sock yarn, while the unique shapes at
the shoulders create a striking fit.
|
|
Feathers |
 |
Miters and
shaping give Feathers
a delicate drape and help keep it on your shoulders. The
back resembles feathers, the front ends give a modern twist
to a classic accessory.
