The new year is always a great time to start on new projects, so
while we're winding up loose ends on some 2004 projects, we're
equally excited about new ones coming our way.
Dawn Leeseman and Galina Fedtchenko, designers published with
Y2Knit, have both created new designs we can hardly wait to
share with you. Jill is finishing up the patterns and has (way
too) many of her ideas flying around.
We've scheduled
Knitting Getaway Events at our favorite locations (don't
make us pick one!). While it's wonderful to look forward to
returning to relaxing environments, we're most enthusiastic
about our topics and the workshops. The learning promises to be
exceptional and the projects interesting.
In 2004 we piloted two new events:
Pass Knit On and
We're Knitting in Funkstown. Due to their popularity, we
have scheduled dates for 2005.
Everyone loves a bargain and we need to make room for new yarn
we'll be purchasing at TNNA in January. The main sale begins in
the shop on February 6. This Super Sunday is timed for you to
shop and still have time to get a project cast on for the Super
Bowl. We're making the sale available online too...all while
supplies last.

bag and will share the teaching-each sharing their
point-of-view and techniques, so you can pick two brains!
Workshops start on Friday with Bag Basics, then move into
knitting techniques, on to non-knitted embellishments, and
planning the look of the outside of your bag. Saturday
starts with specific structural and finishing techniques for
each bag, then we'll have fun with knitted flowers and
leaves and finish with buttonmaking. $25/workshop, $70/day,
$130/all Registration forms available at Y2Knit or online.

Pattern of the Month - Hibiscus Flower
|
|
|
|
Quick to make and a good way to use up leftover felting
wool. Make several and create an floral arrangement. I took
an old straight knitting needle (green) and stuck it through
the base of the flower and put it in a vase. |
