    Lacy Cabled Scoop KnitaLong

Chrissy Gardner, the designer of the Lacy Cabled Scoop, will host the KnitaLong for the sweater. Read more about Y2KnitaLongs.

The project: An allover cable and lace pattern gives wonderful texture to this shapely raglan pullover with 3/4 sleeves and a wide, scooped neck. The fit can be close or loose, and is flattering on most figures.

The yarn: We chose Cascade's 220 Superwash for it's wearability, knitability, and great colors. We're offering select colors at special Y2KnitaLong price, $9/skein! (regularly $10) This lovely wool not only comes in great colors, but it's soft enough to wear next to your skin, even if you are sensitive to wool.

Yarn requirements for the Lacy Cabled Scoop:

bulletSize: XS (S) (M) (L) (XL) (XXL) (XXXL)
    bulletFinished Body: 34 (38) (42) (46) (50) (54)"
    bulletYarn Required: 5(6)(6)(7)(8)(10)(11)skeins/1100 (1320)(1320)(1540)(1760)(2200)(2420)yds

    Knitting Getaway Weekend
In conjunction with our friends at Modern Yarn in Montclair, NJ, Y2Knit is hosting a Knitting Getaway Weekend, April 27-29, 2007. We're back at Kirkridge Retreat Center, a site we have come to love for the serenity, closeness to nature, and beautiful views from the modern lodge.

This event will be in the tradition of Y2Knit Knitting Getaways--expect to relax, renew, learn and connect with other knitters. We're still working out the details, but if you want to be in on this, we can take 6 knitters, all shared rooms. The rest of the attendees will be from Modern Yarn.

Cost for the Event is $600, starting Friday and ending Sunday. Details on workshops available soon! Please let us know if you would like us to reserve you a spot.

    Karaoke Hat Collection

Jill and Susan both have hats in the new book, SWTC Karaoke Hat Collection, featuring designs from yarn stores around the world! Published by South West Trading Company, the Collection has 26 unique hats using the self-striping Karaoke yarn, 50% SoySilk and 50% wool. If you haven't tried this yarn, you must!

The book is available through Y2Knit for $10 - can't beat that for a collection of hats!
