Sep 28-Oct 2 we're at Four Springs in California for Colorwork. Experience the joy of color as you learn to master such techniques as intarsia (argyle), entrelac, fair isle, domino and modular, patchwork and miters, and short rows.

Oct 26-30 we're at Heart of the Village Inn in Shelburne, VT, enjoying Innkeeper Pat's wonderful hospitality. The topic is Knit-to-Fit, with workshops addressing each step in creating a cardigan perfectly suited to you. The skills and techniques learned here can be applied to any project.

  • ~ Fair Isle: Apply two-handed color knitting and practice chart knitting.

    FRIDAY

Stop in to see the new yarns for fall - they are arriving weekly. The colors are wonderful and the yarns interesting and inspiring.

Join us for Knitting Night, 7:00-9:00pm, 2nd and 4th Fridays. Get together with other knitters to knit and chat. This informal gathering provides an opportunity to get to know others who love to knit too and to knit in a supportive environment.

    Pattern of the Month

Jill and Susan have lots of fun developing these small projects and hope you have fun knitting them. For June: Wedding Garter--the perfect topping for that shower gift and it could become an heirloom! July: Baby Tube Socks--again a perfect present topper, or the present itself. Knit in cotton yarn with elastic, they will stay on!

    Bag Handles

If you've purchased Smart Deco Bag or Shapely Bag-- or perhaps you wanted to but didn't want a handheld handle--we've come up with an shoulder strap alternative. (create link to pattern) This can also be a good way to use up odd knitting needles!

    Flora and Fauna
With these shapes and ideas you can create a garden of Flora and Fauna as realistic or fanciful as you desire. The pattern contains:
  • twelve basic petals
  • three kinds of petal flowers and a bud
  • a basic leaf and two complex leaves
  • five different bobbles and bobble groups
  • stems and branches with leaves or bobbles and suggestions on how to put them all together. Watch your garden grow!
