Y2Knit had some anxiety around our fall events--our Weekends near Washington, DC and LA coincided with Hurricane Isabel and raging wildfires. While this certainly increases anxiety around event logistics, it's also a reminder of how wonderful a getaway is, especially when combined with knitting, the great stress reliever. We're thankful that the events were not interrupted by any of these disasters and hope that none of you were affected with loss of property. We can report that a wonderful time was had by all those able to attend! We wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving time! 2004 Knitting Getaway Weekends Immerse yourself in knitting and enjoy the company of other knitting enthusiasts... - participate in knitting workshops - experiment with yarns and techniques - enjoy fabulous food, yoga and massage - find inspiration and renewal in a relaxing environment Weekends in 2004 will revolve around Slip Stitches and Color, starting with a Friday refresher/starter on slip stitches and circular knitting and an afternoon class for learning Continental knitting. Weekend workshops include 2- and 3-color pattern slip stitches, and shaping with slip stitches (in the round, short rows and in pattern). These weekends will be "all about slip stitches" with classes, samplers, projects and assistance on techniques offered throughout.
