The Knitting Getaway Experience at Heart of the Village Inn
couldn't have been more spectacular. With a wonderful group of
knitters, intense but educational workshops, and the cozy
comfort of the Inn, it felt like the ideal Getaway. Everyone
left refreshed and inspired.
Jill and Susan are busy putting the finishing touches on
their book, YNotKnit: Step-by-Step Instructions for
Continental Knitting and Knitting Basics.
We've got a couple of new sock patterns. Look for a flurry of
patterns once we get the book off our plate!
Workshops at the shop are winding down and it's been a busy
season with lots of new knitters eager to learn.

Lace Rib uses Claudia's Hand Paint fingering weight
yarn. We have this in 9 colorways, which will be available
online soon.
Child Sock uses Fixation from Cascade Yarns, which comes
in fabulous colors. Susan knit pairs for the nephews (Elvis
and Van, almost 4) and the day the package was opened in
Chicago, the boyz called her to announce that they were
taking their shoes off as soon as they got to preschool so
that everyone could see their socks and that in the
afternoon they would wear sandals to show them off!

We're excited about new yarn--the Malabrigo from Uruguay

Claudia's Hand Painted yarn is fabulous and with three
different weights and textures, there's something for

Take 2-4 yards of various yarns, tie them together
randomly and knit up this cute shawlette. A great way to use
up leftovers and exercise your creativity!
