Fall is in the air--a great time to be knitting as the days
get shorter and we have more indoor time. We have two new
patterns this month to add to our recent run of patterns.

Meditation Shell |

The pattern for the shell created in the Y2Knit2Gether
Online Workshop is now available. The pattern comes in two
versions: one for bust sizes 33" - 49.5" and one for bust
sizes 51" - 71".
Create a personalized fit for this simple sleeveless
shell with center front and back seed stitch panels and
trims. The model is knit in Meditation--yarn with a light
scent of lavender. Measure, plug in numbers and Knit4Fit!

5x5 Sampler Afghan |

|
The afghan was arranged in the chair for the picture for
the pattern. Susan ran downstairs to get the camera (45
seconds?). When she returned, Abigail was already nesting.
This was on a warm day in August, so we can only surmise
that she wanted her picture taken!
This afghan is a great way to use stitch patterns and
color to hold your interest while building your knitting
knowledge. Constructed in 5 panels, this full-size afghan
remains a portable project until the final joining.
You'll enjoy snuggling under this on a cold day. Abigail
is enjoying it right now!

Caps to the Capital |

The Warm Up America Foundation and the international
children's charity Save the Children are partnering in a new
program: Knitters & Crocheters for Newborns: Caps to the
Capital.
We invite you to join Y2Knit in participating in this
program:
| pick up a free skein of yarn and pattern at Y2Knit or
download pattern |
| knit or crochet a cap |
| bring cap to Y2Knit by December 20
You can read details about this program and download
patterns and information. Y2Knit will collect caps, tag
them, and mail them to Save the Children per the program
protocol.
If you don't live near the Y2Knit Shop, you can
participate through your local yarn shop or guild.

knitting in the Market Fri 12:30- 1:30, Sat 11:00-12:00, and
