October: Breast Cancer Awareness Month |
Y2Knit is sisters Jill and Susan Wolcott. The
Y2Knit sisters have another sister, Sally Wolcott,
a breast cancer survivor.
Sally didn't think she could get
pregnant after chemotherapy and radiation. Our
twin nephews, Van and Elvis (pictured here with
Sally on their recent first day of school), are a
special joy of her survival!
While Sally's experience has been eclipsed by the
twins, Jill's sister-in-law (a knitter!) was just
diagnosed last month. For BCA month we are
featuring some special products from which a
potion of all sales goes to breast cancer
awareness and/or research. We encourage you to
purchase these products (all featured in the right
column here) to support those with breast cancer.

to Italy in October 2008 for the
Experience
Tuscany and many of you are joining us
for one of the three weeks at Villa Maddalena
in Montisi.
However, not
everyone can join us so we are offering the
Y2Knit Experience
Tuscany Armchair Traveler,
an opportunity to participate to some extent
in this unique Experience.
How it
works:
1)
Sign up for the Experience Tuscany Armchair
Traveler.
2) In December 2007, you'll
receive your package (tote, yarn for the
Y2Knit Italian Tee, designed by Jill, and more).
This is a
perfect holiday gift!
3) You'll then receive
instructions for joining the online community.
4) In early 2008, we'll start the
online workshop for the Y2Knit Italian Tee,
which will continue for several months.
5) More patterns will be delivered via
email between January and October.
