Y2Knit Experience Tuscany
Armchair Traveler

armchair
Y2Knit heads to Italy in October 2008 for the Experience Tuscany and many of you are joining us for one of the three weeks at Villa Maddalena in Montisi.

However, not everyone can join us so we are offering the
Y2Knit Experience Tuscany Armchair Traveler, an opportunity to participate to some extent in this unique Experience.

How it works:
1)  Sign up for the Experience Tuscany Armchair Traveler.

2)  In December 2007, you'll receive your package (tote, yarn for the Y2Knit Italian Tee, designed by Jill, and more).  This is a perfect holiday gift!

3)  You'll then receive instructions for joining the online community.

4)  In early 2008, we'll start the online workshop for the Y2Knit Italian Tee, which will continue for several months.

5) More patterns will be delivered via email between January and October.

Next:  Knit and Crochet Show
If you live in the San Francisco Bay Area, you won't want to miss the Knit and Crochet Show sponsored by TKGA.  It's happening September 27-30 at the Oakland Marriott City Center and you can visit us in Booth 409 in the Marketplace.

Jill and Susan are teaching classes too:  This is your chance to learn Continental Knitting from the authors of YNotKnit!  Susan will also teach her popular Whoops! Class and Jill offers classes on measurement and fit as well as short-row shaping and sleeve caps.  Check out the class details.

October Calendar
Jill is teaching "Continental Knitting" at Knit-a-Bit in Westfield, NJ on October 6, 2007.

Susan and Jill are teaching "Slip Stitch Basics" and "Mitered Shapes" at The Skein Attraction in Teaneck, NJ on October 7, 2007 and "Slip Stitch Basics" at Victoria's House of NeedleArt in Duncansville, PA on October 8, 2007 and Stitcher's Dream in Glenside, PA on October 10, 2007.

We're at Stitches East October 11-14--come visit us in Booth 116.  We'll have all our patterns and yarn from Universal Yarn.  Check out unique yarns with "sea cell" and their 100% organic cotton in natural and natural dye shades.

If you like small venues and fall colors (and live in the mid-Atlantic), visit the Shenandoah Valley Fiber Festival ("Small Scale--Grand Event") October 27 and 28 in Berryville, VA.  Y2Knit will be there too!

Sterling Lace

Sterling Lace
We had to make Sterling Lace with Kraemer's new Sterling Silk and Silver yarn, a delightful blend of wool, silk and bits of silver.  Soft and delicate, this light shawl in fingering yarn is feminine, warm and easy to wear.  The delicate lace patterns will work up beautifully in any sock yarn, but we think the silver fiber in this yarn lends an extra bit of elegance.
